The Still Waters

The Lynx´s Path - Chapter 40

The eighth day of February began with a sky that was clear and bright, its hues reflecting in the calm waters of a nearby lake. The man woke with a sense of quiet contemplation, his thoughts drawn to the element of water—the element of emotion, intuition, and flow.

At his altar, he placed a small bowl of water and a piece of aquamarine, its soft blue tones calming and soothing. Lighting a white candle, he sat in meditation, focusing on his breath as it mirrored the rhythm of gentle waves. He whispered:

“Waters of life, I honor your depth and clarity. Teach me to flow with grace and trust the currents of my soul.”

The lynx’s presence was tranquil, her energy blending with the serene atmosphere of the day. She seemed to remind him of the importance of reflection—not just on his journey but on the emotions that shaped it.

Feeling inspired, he walked to the lake, carrying his journal and a small cup. The water was still, its surface reflecting the sky above with perfect clarity. Kneeling by the edge, he filled the cup and held it close, imagining it holding his intentions and emotions. He whispered softly:

“May this water carry my reflections and return them with wisdom.”

Sitting on a nearby rock, he opened his journal and let the words flow like the ripples on the lake:

“What emotions am I holding onto?

“What can I release to create stillness within?”

“How can I trust my inner waters to guide me?”

As the sun began to set, he performed a small ritual. Returning the water in his cup to the lake, he watched as it merged seamlessly with the larger body, a reminder of the interconnectedness of all things.

That evening, he wrote in his journal:

“Water teaches us to reflect, to release, and to trust the flow of life. It reminds us that stillness is not stagnation but a moment of clarity. Today, I honor the still waters and the wisdom they bring.”
