The Gathering Clouds

The Lynx´s Path - Chapter 20

The nineteenth day arrived with a sky heavy with gray clouds, their shadows casting a muted light over the landscape. The man felt the weight of their presence as he stepped outside, the air thick with anticipation, as though something unseen was shifting.

He began his morning with a grounding practice, placing his hands on the cold earth and breathing deeply. The lynx’s presence felt distant but watchful, her energy more like a quiet hum than a tangible force. Today, he knew, was not about action but about preparation.

Sitting at his altar, he lit a candle and drew a single card from his tarot deck: The Hanged Man. He studied the image, its message clear—surrender, pause, and gain a new perspective. The gathering clouds mirrored the energy of the card: the moment before the storm, the stillness that invites reflection.

He decided to spend the day in quiet contemplation, journaling his thoughts. He wrote:

“What am I resisting?”

“What must I let go of to see the path more clearly?”

In the afternoon, he walked to a hill overlooking the forest, the clouds swirling above him. The wind was soft but carried a faint chill, a reminder of winter’s hold. He closed his eyes and listened, the silence broken only by the rustle of dry leaves. He imagined the clouds above carrying not just moisture but energy—potential waiting to be released.

By evening, as the first drops of rain began to fall, he returned to his altar and lit incense. The smoke curled upward, mirroring the shifting clouds outside. He offered gratitude for the day’s lessons, knowing that the energy of waiting was as important as the energy of action.

He ended his day with a journal entry:

“The clouds teach me to hold space for transformation. Not every moment is for movement; some are for stillness, for reflection. Today, I prepare for what is to come.”
