The Dragon´s Breath
The Lynx´s Path - Chapter 4
The third day of the year dawned with an unexpected warmth. As he sipped his morning tea, the man reflected on the interplay between the Earth Dragon of his birth and the Wood Dragon of the present year. Both were builders, but where the Earth Dragon sought stability, the Wood Dragon reached outward, growing and expanding. He meditated on the balance between these energies, imagining himself as a tree: roots deep in the earth, branches stretching toward the sun. He visualized the dragon’s breath as a force of creativity and transformation, filling him with courage to grow beyond his comfort zone.
The day’s journey took him to his altar, where he lit incense and offered gratitude to the spirits that guided him. He cast a circle, inviting the elements and his spiritual allies, and drew a single rune from a velvet pouch: Jera. The rune of cycles and harvest.
“Your work will bear fruit,” he whispered, holding the rune in his palm. “But only if you honor the process.”
That evening, he sat by the fire, its flames reflecting the dragon’s energy. The lynx’s presence was a quiet reassurance, her golden eyes watching from the edge of his awareness. He ended the day with gratitude, writing:
“The dragon breathes life into my intentions. I honor the Earth with each step and the sky with each breath. The journey continues.”
